These are the rules that handcuff local police, telling them not to cooperate with federal immigration agents—even when dangerous criminals walk free. Apparently, the city can openly defy the federal government and help shield lawbreakers from deportation, and the courts will call it “legal.”
Let’s be clear about what’s really going on here. Liberal politicians in New York City want the votes, money, and globalist “brownie points” that come with turning our cities into safe havens for people who break our laws by sneaking across the border. Meanwhile, the safety of everyday Americans is thrown out the window. Police are forced to pretend they don’t even see illegal immigrants committing crimes, all because city elites are obsessed with being “woke.” Local officers can’t arrest an illegal immigrant just because ICE wants them detained—even if that means violent offenders are let loose on our streets.
The Trump administration tried to step in—finally, someone willing to stand up for the rule of law. But the courts say Washington’s hands are tied, thanks to a state law that basically bans police from cooperating with federal immigration authorities. The message from the Left is loud and clear: If you’re here illegally, you’re more important than American citizens. If you’re a cop, sit down and keep quiet—or else.
The hypocrisy couldn’t be more obvious. The same people who scream about “law and order” when it’s convenient are the ones undermining the very laws that keep us safe. Liberals in power love to lecture us about “justice” while ignoring victims of illegal alien crime. They block federal efforts to restore sanity to immigration, and when patriots like Trump actually try to enforce American laws, activist judges just wave it all away.
How much more of this insanity does America have to take? When a city’s leaders and federal judges care more about protecting criminals than protecting families, it’s clear whose side they’re on—and it isn’t ours.
