Once again, the liberal courts have trampled on American safety and sided with radical left-wing politicians. A federal judge just tossed out the Trump administration’s fight to hold New York City accountable for refusing to work with federal immigration authorities. This should outrage every single person who cares about law and order in this country.
Let’s be clear—New York City’s so-called “sanctuary” laws are nothing but a giant gift to illegal aliens and criminals. They’re a deliberate slap in the face to federal law enforcement officers just trying to do their jobs. City officials are telling their law enforcement to ignore federal requests and protect people who broke our country’s laws, all for political points with their activist buddies.
This is the left’s America: Criminals first, citizens last. Mayor after mayor in these big blue cities seem to care more about impressing open-borders globalists than about the safety of their own people. Liberals pretend to care about the “rule of law,” but the second that law doesn’t fit their political agenda, they throw a tantrum and hide behind activist judges.
With this move, the courts have sent a crystal-clear message. They’re not interested in protecting families from dangerous criminals who shouldn’t even be here. Instead, they’re happy to handcuff law enforcement officers and put everyday Americans at risk—all because they just can’t stand Trump and the conservative vision of a secure America.
If the left has their way, soon there won’t be any distinction between a citizen and an illegal alien. Who’s really benefiting from these sanctuary policies? It’s certainly not hard-working Americans. The question everyone should be asking is: When will liberals stop protecting lawbreakers and start protecting the rest of us?
