America’s security just took another hit—and this time, it’s not courtesy of some foreign power. It’s the so-called “professionals” in charge of protecting our nation’s leaders who have embarrassed themselves on the world stage. The number two official at the U.S. Secret Service just jumped ship, dodging questions at a time when the agency looks more like a bunch of confused rookies than elite protectors of democracy.
Why? If reports are to be believed, it’s all about their laughable counter-drone experiment. Last year, these agents gathered at the Army-Navy game—an event that should celebrate American pride and military excellence. Instead, we’re told they ended up shooting down one of their own drones and then celebrated as if they’d scored some epic victory. The left will call it a “minor incident,” but Americans who care about real security see it for what it is: gross incompetence from those we trust most.
Where’s the accountability? If these bumbling bureaucrats had been working in the private sector—and cost their company millions with such an amateur mistake—they’d be out the door fast, no questions asked. But under this administration, the only leadership they show is in finding the nearest exit when things get tough. Don’t expect apologies or real reform. The top brass keeps vanishing, but the problems stick around, getting worse every time.
Of course, the liberal elite and their media lackeys will try to bury this story. They’d rather obsess about “extremism” in the ranks than explain why government agencies waste taxpayer dollars and jeopardize our leaders’ safety with their careless stunts. Guess it’s easier to blame Americans for imaginary threats than admit when you’ve got clowns running the circus.
Maybe next time, instead of plotting to “reimagine” law enforcement or chase imaginary Russian spies, our ruling class could focus on basics—like not blowing millions on drone programs they can’t even operate. But as always, Democrats keep proving they’re better at covering up scandals than fixing them. How many more blunders will Americans tolerate before demanding real accountability from the folks who claim to protect us?
