Missing 87 million scandal explodes as LA politician faces backlash over mansion tax disaster

Liberal Los Angeles politicians love to promise the world. They slap massive taxes on hard-working Americans and tell us the money will help the needy. But behind the scenes, all too often, there’s chaos, confusion, and flat-out incompetence. That’s exactly what is happening right now with Nithya Raman’s so-called “Mansion Tax”—and the missing $87 million nobody wants to talk about.

Let’s talk facts. Nithya Raman, the darling of LA’s progressive elite, pushed a tax under the shiny banner of helping the poor. She told everyone this money would go to “affordable housing.” Now we find out her office shipped those millions off to a dodgy foundation with zero accountability. Where is the money now? Nobody seems to know.

If Raman can’t even track nearly a hundred million dollars, how can anyone trust her to run the country’s second largest city? This is the same crowd that tells us they know best, that we should trust their “plans” while working families fork over more and more of their hard-earned cash. Yet when it comes time to actually deliver, it’s always missing money, shady nonprofits, and politics as usual.

This isn’t just incompetence. It’s left-wing hypocrisy on full display. They claim they’ll “tax the rich” and solve the housing crisis, but somehow end up enriching their buddies and feeding globalist special interests. No transparency, no results—just backroom deals and broken promises.

Angelenos should be furious. These taxes hit the city’s backbone—builders, business owners, and everyone who’s trying to make a living in Newsom’s California. Now nearly $90 million is gone, with nothing to show for it but more finger-pointing and excuses. Is this really the leadership LA deserves? Or is it just another case of liberal elites failing the very people they pretend to care about?
