If there’s one thing liberals do well, it’s blowing through other people’s money. Just look at Democrat House candidate Kathy Stout. In just two months, she managed to burn over $4,300 in campaign cash—not on messaging or actually helping her district, but on cookies, booze, and Mexican food. Is this what Democrats call public service? More like a non-stop party at the taxpayer’s expense.
The left loves to wag fingers at hardworking Americans about so-called “wasteful spending.” Yet when it’s time for campaign season, it’s cookies and cocktails for everyone—paid for by donors who probably thought they were backing policy, not pastries. It just proves, once again, that liberals talk a big game about “responsibility,” but when it comes to their own backyard, fiscal discipline flies right out the window.
This is the real hypocrisy of the modern Democrat. They demand endless government handouts, higher taxes, and bigger budgets, but can’t even manage their own campaign accounts with a shred of respect. Maybe if Kathy Stout had baked fewer cookies and spent less time at happy hour, she’d have more time to actually figure out what her district needs.
And let’s not forget the message this sends to voters. Democrats think treating themselves to endless snacks and drinks is just “business as usual.” Meanwhile, regular Americans are struggling to put food on the table, thanks to the very policies Democrats push. If this is how they run a campaign, imagine the disaster they’d make out of your tax dollars in Washington.
The good old boy Democrat machine is alive and well—living large and expecting the rest of us to pick up the tab. Are we supposed to trust these people to fix inflation and secure our border when they’re too busy ordering another round of margaritas? Maybe Kathy Stout and her liberal pals should spend less on appetizers and more time learning some good old-fashioned American accountability.
