The double standard from the radical left is on full display once again. Florida Democrats are in hot water after one of their own, Elijah Manley—a former congressional candidate—was just thrown behind bars for allegedly threatening to kill or injure others. This is the same Democratic Party that constantly screams about “threats to democracy” and lectures conservatives on “civility.” Yet here we are, watching one of their rising stars spiral out of control and end up in handcuffs for making violent threats.
Of course, you won’t see the mainstream media hype this story. If a Republican had done half of what Manley is accused of, talking heads would demand blanket coverage, “hate crime” charges, and a national day of mourning. But because Manley’s a Democrat, the liberal media buries this embarrassing meltdown, hoping American voters won’t notice the filth festering in their own party. It’s nothing but pure hypocrisy.
Democrats pretend to care about “peace” and “unity,” but their own inner circle can’t seem to control themselves. Manley wasn’t some fringe nobody—he ran for high office, trying to represent the people of Florida in Congress. And now he’s in a Broward County jail cell, hit with two separate counts for sending those despicable threats. The left is always hungry to point fingers at conservatives, yet they never seem to take responsibility for chaos among their own ranks.
What are we teaching our kids when politicians—especially those favored by the left—act like thugs and escape serious scrutiny? The Democratic Party’s obsession with identity politics and victimhood clearly isn’t working. Maybe if these politicians spent less time pandering to globalist elites and more time respecting American values, we wouldn’t be dealing with stories like this every few months.
Anyone surprised by this latest Democrat disaster simply isn’t paying attention. The rot in that party goes deep—and no amount of double talk or media cover-ups can hide it. Maybe the real “threat to democracy” is a political class that thinks the rules don’t apply to them. How many more times must Americans see liberal leaders become a national embarrassment?
