The Supreme Court finally showed some backbone by backing the Pentagon’s decision to toss a ridiculous plea deal for three alleged 9/11 conspirators. Let’s be clear: these are monsters accused of helping kill nearly 3,000 innocent Americans. They do not deserve a soft deal. Yet the left would have happily let them off easy—no death penalty, just a lifetime of taxpayer-funded meals. It’s outrageous, and thankfully, this time, common sense won the day.
The appeals court already decided that former Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin had the power to toss the deal. It should have been a no-brainer, but in today’s twisted legal system, nothing is simple. Liberal lawyers are obsessed with protecting criminals’ rights—even terrorist masterminds. Where’s their concern for the rights of the families destroyed by 9/11? Nowhere to be found.
It’s about time someone stood up for real justice. This isn’t about revenge, it’s about consequences. If these cowards really are guilty of planning the worst attack on American soil, then they should face the ultimate punishment. Our weak-kneed leaders in Washington think the answer is more bureaucracy, endless delays, and, of course, cutting deals that let killers escape real justice.
The globalist crowd, always eager to look “compassionate” to the rest of the world, would rather America apologized for defending herself. They wring their hands about how harsh justice hurts our “image.” Who cares what the rest of the world thinks when it comes to American lives? That kind of thinking is exactly why our enemies keep walking all over us.
Enough is enough. If liberals want to cozy up to America’s worst enemies, they should expect pushback from the real patriots in this country. Today, the Supreme Court sided with justice, not weakness. Too bad we can’t say the same more often. How long before the next batch of D.C. insiders tries to let more terrorists off the hook in the name of “progress”?
