New Jersey taxpayers foot the bill while liberal elites ignore real solutions to kids mental health crisis

New Jersey’s liberal elites are at it again. Now Governor Sherrill is pouring resources into a shiny new “research facility” to study teenagers’ anxiety and depression “linked” to social media. How typical. The left loves to study problems they helped create—while ignoring the real answers right in front of them.

Let’s not kid ourselves. The same Democrats who pushed for more screens in classrooms and pushed woke agendas through TikTok and Instagram are suddenly shocked that our kids are miserable. Who are they trying to fool here? America’s big tech overlords have been running wild for years, filling our kids’ brains with destructive nonsense. But liberals keep bowing to Silicon Valley dollars, pretending they have the solution.

Now they want a taxpayer-funded lab to “study” what every concerned parent already knows. Kids glued to their phones are anxious. They feel lost and alone because their so-called leaders have failed to set real boundaries or teach honest values. Instead of restoring discipline, family values, and a sense of American purpose, leftist politicians want to hire more researchers and print more reports.

How about leaders with a spine? How about actual action to get scrolling out of the schools, defend parental rights, and restore common sense? Instead, we get yet another government project—jobs for the experts, more red tape, no change for families on Main Street.

The left will keep wringing their hands, blaming everything except their own policies. Don’t be fooled. This isn’t real leadership. It’s more liberal theater, wasting your money while our kids suffer. If Governor Sherrill cared about mental health, she’d start by fighting TikTok, holding big tech accountable, and putting power back in parents’ hands—not in another useless government lab. How much longer will parents let these clueless elites run the show?
