Trump’s secret playbook could crush the China Russia alliance that Biden’s team helped create

Joe Biden and his liberal globalist crowd have bungled America’s foreign policy so badly that the real power players in the world—China and Russia—are laughing all the way to the Kremlin and the Forbidden City. For years, the left has pushed a naive, one-size-fits-all approach to our enemies, punishing Russia and China in the same breath, hoping that a barrage of sanctions and feel-good speeches would scare both. Instead, it’s united them like never before. Only now, after years of strategic stupidity, are the “experts” waking up to a basic fact: cozying them together makes America weaker, not stronger.

China is on the move, growing its influence across Eurasia with new economic deals and military tech. The leftist establishment thinks flooding Central Asia with American aid, troops, and NGOs will scare Beijing away from its plans for Taiwan. In reality, this plays right into China’s hands. All it does is push Beijing and Moscow into a deeper bear-hug—one where they share battle plans and energy resources while plotting against the US behind closed doors. Anyone who thinks Putin and Xi are natural allies hasn’t cracked open a history book past 2016, but liberal elitists just can’t resist the urge to poke both dragons at once.

Meanwhile, old-school diplomacy—the kind Nixon used to break up the red bloc in the Cold War—is all but forgotten. Nixon didn’t treat Moscow and Beijing like some evil tag team; he saw their rivalries, played them off against each other, and gave America the upper hand. Today’s left, obsessed with virtue-signaling and “democracy promotion,” refuses to see that sometimes, talking to one autocrat keeps two from ganging up on us. Instead, they’d rather score Twitter likes and CNN soundbites than defend American interests.

President Trump, of course, understands the game. His recent moves with Russia—waiving sanctions so America could unlock vital diesel from global markets—drew shrieks from both parties and scolding from Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy. The Ukraine war is a tragedy, yes, but wishful thinking and endless handouts won’t change reality on the battlefield. America’s duty isn’t to sacrifice the energy security of our own citizens or embroil the country in endless foreign wars, but to protect our people, our economy, and our global standing. Trump’s pragmatic deal-making is classic art-of-the-deal—using leverage instead of lofty ideals to serve the national good.

If the United States hopes to keep China’s aggression in check, it must stop gifting Beijing and Moscow reasons to play nice. That means a cold, clear-eyed policy—one that strengthens our military, builds real alliances in the Indo-Pacific, and, yes, carefully engages with Russia to keep the red giants from marching in lockstep. The left might hate the thought of talking to Moscow, but refusing the obvious only makes things worse. Why let China and Russia unite when a smart, America-first approach can divide them?

Isn’t it time Washington dropped the tired liberal fantasies and started playing to win, just as Trump always has?
