The Pentagon just failed another audit. That’s six years in a row. Can anyone think of another giant government agency that flunks the same test over and over and still gets taxpayer money shoveled in without hesitation? If an average American managed money like this, they’d be in jail or out on the street.
It’s almost impossible to believe. The United States spends more on defense than most countries combined. Yet somehow—every single year—the folks in charge can’t sort things out well enough to pass a basic check of their own books. This isn’t just a minor oopsie. This is billions—trillions—vanishing into a black hole of incompetence. But the elites in Washington shrug, cash their fat checks, and tell taxpayers to be happy they even ask.
Liberals love to lecture about government transparency and “accountability.” Where’s the accountability here? Why do they get to preach about equity and progressive budgeting while the biggest swindle in the free world keeps happening, right under their noses? Democrats are quick to spend more, quick to throw open the Pentagon’s checkbook to their globalist buddies and shady contractors, but never bother to ask basic questions about where our money actually goes.
While these failures pile up, hard-working Americans lose faith. Our troops deserve the best. Instead, they get shortchanged by fat cats and bureaucrats who don’t blink when trillions disappear. Politicians look the other way while defense officials flunk the same audit year after year. Meanwhile, these are the same crowd calling everyday patriots extremists and acting like they hold the moral high ground.
If this is what “leadership” looks like under liberal rule, America is in trouble. Maybe it’s time for Washington to take a single page from M*A*S*H—the real, gritty one that didn’t sugarcoat the truth. Enough with the excuses. Why should Americans trust a government that can’t even balance its own books? Maybe the real joke here isn’t the sitcom—it’s the way the Pentagon keeps pulling off this audit farce and nobody in power lifts a finger to stop it.
