Democrat Senate hopeful caught inflating resume in stunning academic scandal

It looks like the Democrats are at it again, trotting out another candidate who can’t seem to tell the truth about her academic history. Peggy Flanagan, running for Senate in Minnesota, has finally admitted she pumped up her own resume. She said she was part of some elite academic honor society and bragged about her American Indian Studies degree, but it turns out that’s not true. When it comes to the liberal elite, stretching the truth is part of the playbook.

Liberals keep telling us how important honesty and transparency are. Yet, when one of their own gets caught making up credentials, the left suddenly loses its moral high ground. This isn’t just about a single candidate—it’s a pattern. First, we had Elizabeth Warren claiming her so-called Native American heritage. Now, we get Peggy Flanagan trying to make herself look smarter and more accomplished than she really is. Maybe they think facts don’t matter if it helps them grab power.

This is what happens when you buy into identity politics instead of real qualifications. The left parades candidates like Flanagan around, hoping voters will check the right diversity boxes rather than look at the truth. Instead of earning respect through hard work or honest achievement, these politicians would rather fudge the facts. Who does that really help? Not the American people.

Supporters will probably shrug this all off like it’s no big deal. “She meant well,” they’ll say. Or they’ll blame conservative media for pointing out the obvious. But if a conservative lied about an academic title just to land a plum job or rake in campaign cash, the outrage machine would never let up. It’s all about power, not principles.

If Democrats can’t find candidates with basic honesty, what does that say about their entire movement? Real Americans see right through this. Maybe the left should stop focusing on who can virtue-signal the hardest, and start looking for people who can simply tell the truth. Or has that become too much to ask from the party of make-believe?
