Minnesota Democrats have a truth problem, and it’s on full display with their latest Senate nominee, Peggy Flanagan. The same party that lectures the country about “integrity” can’t seem to find even a shred of honesty in its own backyard. Flanagan, who also serves as Lieutenant Governor, didn’t just fudge her resume—she flat-out invented elite accomplishments, hoping nobody would notice.
The facts are damning. Flanagan claimed she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s most famous academic honor society. Except she wasn’t. It’s not a little mistake; it’s a big, fat lie. In a world where hard-working, real Americans sweat for every achievement, Democrats like Flanagan think they can just claim the glory without earning it. Where’s the accountability for faking your way to the top?
But it gets worse. Her official state biography pumped up her college achievements, making it sound like she completed two demanding majors. Scratch the surface, and the truth is nowhere close. She completed just one major and a minor. Imagine if a conservative pulled this kind of stunt—the media would be howling, and Democrats would be crying foul. But for their own, the left brushes it off as no big deal. That’s liberal hypocrisy through and through.
Minnesotans deserve leaders who are honest about their credentials, not politicians who play make-believe with their resumes. If Democrats can’t be trusted to tell the truth about their own backgrounds, how can anyone trust them with the future of this country? Globalists and woke activists love to talk about transparency, but their actions tell a different story. This is what happens when you put party loyalty above basic American values.
Peggy Flanagan is running for the U.S. Senate on a platform built on shaky ground. If Democrats keep handing out power to people who fudge their own qualifications, what hope is there for real American students actually working hard for that diploma? The left can spin it however they want, but you can’t rewrite the facts. Maybe next time, Democrats should try a nominee who doesn’t need to pad their resume just to look qualified. Or is lying on your way up the new liberal requirement?
