Liberals love to preach about “facts” and “data,” but when it comes to their own campaigns, it looks like they’ll buy into just about anything—as long as it helps them hold onto power. Take the latest trainwreck out of Mississippi. Chuck Schumer and his Democrat buddies were duped into wasting a jaw-dropping $1.2 million on a Senate race, all because they trusted a polling company spitting out numbers that were completely fake.
The company in question, Wedgewood Polling, wasn’t some seasoned operation. Yet, the so-called “experts” in the mainstream media—along with their golden boy number crunchers—took their polls at face value. They gobbled up fake results all summer, letting those numbers dictate where hard-earned donor dollars were funneled. Turns out, every poll this outfit did (except for one) was made up out of thin air. And what did Democrats do? They threw cash at a race they had absolutely no chance of winning.
It’s embarrassing, but it’s no surprise to anyone who’s been paying attention. These same Democrat strategists have the nerve to lecture Americans about “disinformation” while they fall, hook, line, and sinker, for the world’s oldest scam: believe what you want to believe. If they bothered to look up from their echo chambers, they might have seen that grassroots support for conservatives in Mississippi has always been strong. Blinded by arrogance and wishful thinking, they dumped more than a million dollars straight into a black hole.
Where’s the accountability? The left always brags about being the “party of science,” but when a glossy poll lands in their inbox from some no-name group, they just can’t resist. They’ll bend over backward to justify wasting donor money because their globalist, big-government agenda demands it. Meanwhile, real Americans sit back and watch these elites burn cash while telling the rest of us how smart and responsible they are.
Maybe this disaster is exactly what the Democrats deserve. If Schumer and friends are so eager to let fake polls guide their strategy, maybe it’s time to let them run wild—after all, their incompetence only helps conservatives win. How many millions will they flush away next, just to chase their own delusions? The joke’s on them.
