Michigan Senate candidate Abdulrahman El-Sayed just showed the entire nation what liberals really think about secure elections. During a recent debate, El-Sayed, a far-left radical who proudly wears his anti-American values on his sleeve, railed against basic voter ID laws and efforts to require proof of citizenship at the polls. In his mind, these commonsense protections are not about keeping our elections honest—they’re “voter suppression.”
Let’s get real. The only thing being “suppressed” here is the fraudulent voting that the Democrats count on every election cycle. It should not be controversial to ask for an ID when someone shows up to vote. You need ID to buy a beer, fly on a plane, or even drive a car. But according to El-Sayed and his army of woke activists, it’s somehow racist or oppressive to apply the same standard to elections. Does he think Americans are too dumb or too lazy to get an ID? Or is he just afraid that making sure only citizens vote will cost his party the edge?
The left loves to cry about “democracy” whenever it fits their narrative. But true democracy means every legal vote counts—and only legal votes count. The very foundation of our country rests on honest elections. Yet El-Sayed and his progressive pals seem more interested in opening the floodgates to anyone and everyone, all to pad their base with illegal ballots and questionable voters. Is it any surprise they panic at the mention of the SAVE America Act?
This isn’t just about Michigan. This is a battle for the soul of America. Do we want a system where our elections are a free-for-all, where foreign nationals and dead people can cast ballots? Or do we want to stand up for our country and its values, and make sure that only real Americans decide our future? El-Sayed and his anti-border, anti-security cronies have already made their choice clear. They want no lines, no rules, and no country left to defend.
Americans are tired of the hypocrisy, tired of liberal elites labeling every effort to secure our Republic as “suppression.” The only thing being suppressed is common sense. How long are we going to let left-wing radicals like El-Sayed decide who gets a voice in our nation’s future?
