LeBron James just can’t help himself. While everyday Americans stand with hands over hearts, honoring the greatest country on Earth, LeBron decided it was the perfect time to clown around—this time, pretending to swing a golf club during the national anthem before the season opener. Millions have sacrificed for that anthem, but apparently, LeBron thinks it’s just another moment for his arrogant showmanship. It’s another slap in the face to American values, and frankly, people are sick of it.
Instead of showing even the bare minimum of respect, LeBron used his spotlight to mock what actually unites this country: patriotism. The sports world used to be proud of America. Today, thanks to left-wing influence and out-of-touch elitists in the NBA, it’s just another stage for anti-American displays. If you dared to act like this at any small-town high school game, you’d get booed out of the gym—or benched. But LeBron’s rich, famous, and surrounded by liberal apologists who think he can do no wrong.
This is what happens when athletes turn into political activists who look down on their own fans. The NBA is more worried about not offending communist China or woke Twitter mobs than standing up for the U.S.A. LeBron knows he faces no consequences, because he’s shielded by media elites and Hollywood buddies who’d rather bash America than defend it. Try disrespecting the flag in China or Saudi Arabia and see how fast the punishment comes. In the United States, LeBron gets showered with endorsement deals instead.
Remember when sports brought families together? When players were humble role models instead of self-important millionaires pushing their pet causes? Now, if you want to talk about loyalty to country, you’re accused of being “insensitive.” It’s a sad joke. The left preaches unity, but cheers when celebrities belittle the values real Americans cherish.
If LeBron James is so “insufferable” now, maybe he should skip the anthem entirely—or better yet, wake up and remember who made his fame and fortune possible. Fans deserve respect. America deserves respect. If the self-proclaimed “King” can’t even stand still for a two-minute anthem, maybe it’s time he sits out for good.
