DOJ Claims Hands Off Elections but Conservatives Warn DC Power Grab Could Be Coming Anyway

The Justice Department claims it won’t mess with how states certify their election results. That’s what Attorney General Todd Blanche says. But don’t be fooled. He’s still leaving the door wide open for “extreme” scenarios where Washington could swoop in and interfere. That’s classic DC double-talk if you ask me—mouth one thing, but quietly signal the opposite. Conservatives know exactly how slippery that slope can be.

Why should Americans trust the same Justice Department that’s been caught weaponizing the government against everyday citizens and political opponents? They now want us to believe they’ll just sit back politely while states do their jobs, even though they admit there could be some “rare” circumstances to step in? Sorry, but that’s hard to swallow after years of Democrat-run agencies pushing their anti-Trump, globalist agenda.

Let’s remember—elections belong to the states, not to unelected Washington insiders pulling strings behind the scenes. The left loves to act like they’re defending “democracy,” but every time you blink, the feds try to grab more power. They don’t trust actual voters and local officials. They always think bureaucrats know best. That’s not American, it’s authoritarian.

Attorney General Blanche might think he’s calming fears, but any real conservative reads between the lines. The Biden DOJ has shown again and again that it’s willing to weaponize the law to get political wins. Now they have the nerve to hint they could stick their noses into state certification, if they just feel it’s “extreme” enough? How long before activists start dreaming up new crises to invite federal intervention in red states?

Elections have to mean something. State officials answer to their own voters, not to some DC official with a political axe to grind. If the DOJ is really serious about not interfering, why not just say so without leaving loopholes big enough to drive a truck through? Americans want honest elections and accountability—not another round of Washington “emergencies” where elites get to overrule the people. If Democrats are so sure about their ideas, why do they keep looking for ways to tilt the playing field, even after the votes are cast?

When will these big-government liberals realize the Constitution still matters, and that Americans aren’t buying their power grabs anymore?
