When you hear about criminals ripping off thousands of America’s military heroes, your blood should boil. That’s not just some faceless attack—it’s a punch in the gut to every person who ever wore the uniform. While elites in D.C. obsess over climate change and pronouns, actual Americans are being targeted by predators like Robert Wayne Boling Jr. This man, an American citizen living overseas, pulled off a staggering identity theft scheme against our service members and veterans. But is anyone in Washington actually looking out for those who sacrifice the most for this country?
It’s disgraceful how easy it’s become for bad actors—even American citizens hiding out abroad—to exploit weak systems and bureaucratic loopholes. Soldiers who put their lives on the line are rewarded with broken promises and broken security. Our veterans face enough on their return home. Now they have to worry about their identities, savings, and reputations being stripped away by criminals? This is what happens when defending our own citizens becomes a political afterthought.
Leftists constantly preach about inclusion and equality, but where’s the outrage when our troops are the victims? Democrats love to take a knee and post hashtags for “the troops,” but securing their data and dignity? That’s apparently too much work. Instead, we get so-called “global citizenship,” open borders, and a long list of programs that ignore the unique needs of our military community.
Boling’s crime didn’t happen in a vacuum. It’s a symptom of a much larger rot. For years, the federal government—run by career bureaucrats—has abandoned its most basic job: protecting Americans. Technology gets smarter, but our leaders get dumber. Bad actors know that weak oversight and soft-on-crime policies are a gold mine. Left unchecked, it’s only a matter of time before the next wave of victims surfaces.
Let’s be clear: our men and women in uniform are not just another “special group.” They’re the backbone of this nation’s freedom. If our leaders won’t get serious about protecting them, maybe it’s time voters start protecting themselves at the ballot box. How much longer will Americans tolerate a system that puts criminals first and patriots last?
