For years, Americans were told a college degree was a ticket to success. Study hard, rack up debt, and the good life would be waiting after graduation. But Gen Z isn’t falling for the scam. They’re watching their older siblings and friends suffocate under mountains of student loans while working jobs that barely cover rent, if they even find work at all. The so-called American Dream of college and career? Left in the dust, replaced by bitter reality.
Why wouldn’t young people be skeptical? Universities keep hiking tuition while their bloated administrations get richer—and the education gets weaker. Kids shell out tens of thousands for woke ideology and watered-down classes instead of real-world skills. Professors spend more time spreading left-wing dogma than preparing students to compete in the modern workforce. Is it any surprise students are bailing out?
Meanwhile, leftist politicians keep pitching “free college” as the answer, chasing votes instead of fixing the problem. The truth? These liberal leaders created the mess. Their one-size-fits-all solution—throw everyone into overpriced classrooms—only benefits colleges and their pals in academia. Ordinary Americans get stuck holding the bill. The only people celebrating are the bureaucrats pocketing fat salaries while graduates flip burgers and drown in debt.
The globalist push to make everyone dependent on credentials plays right into the elites’ hands. If you’re trained to follow, not think, you’ll never challenge the system. But Gen Z is starting to see through the game. More are choosing trade schools, apprenticeships, and entrepreneurship, refusing to be cogs in the university money machine. They crave freedom, real skills, and a future not shackled by loans.
If our so-called leaders really cared about the next generation, they’d stop pouring money into failed liberal colleges and start building paths that actually work. America became great on hard work, innovation, and independence—not handouts to ivory tower elites. It’s about time we start acting like it. Maybe Gen Z has figured out what the coastal liberals refuse to admit: college isn’t a golden ticket—it’s a bureaucratic trap.
