Once again, Islamist Iran is playing games with the truth, and the usual globalist cheerleaders refuse to ask basic questions. Now we have Iranian state-run media pushing the unbelievable story that their Parliament Speaker just met with the so-called “Supreme Leader” Mojtaba Khamenei. Odd timing, since Khamenei hasn’t shown his face—or so much as muttered a word in public—since the airstrike that took out his father back in February. That’s right: even as their regime blows smoke and cracks down on its own people, nobody in the West seems concerned that their new dictator is missing in action.
Iran’s government expects the world to simply believe that Mojtaba is alive and doling out orders behind closed doors. No video proofs, no photos, nothing but vague state propaganda. It’s almost comic how foreign policy “experts” and liberal diplomats pretend all is normal, when even basic accountability or transparency in Tehran would send the left into a meltdown if it happened anywhere else. The same media hacks who demand every cough and sneeze from American leaders are happy to let the world’s leading state sponsor of terror operate in the shadows.
Iran’s ruling class is clinging to power with lies and distractions while their people suffer and the region teeters on chaos. And what does the Biden administration do? They play along, terrified to challenge the brutal theocracy because their precious nuclear deal looms in the background. The American left cares more about appeasing Iran’s mullahs than protecting our own interests, or the safety of Israel and decent people in the Middle East.
Let’s not forget why Mojtaba Khamenei is missing in the first place—because his father, Ayatollah Ali, was eliminated in a strike widely suspected to be a message to the entire regime. But instead of real scrutiny, the White House and their media lackeys just parrot talking points. Globalist elites won’t question who’s actually leading Iran, as long as oil keeps flowing and their multinational deals stay alive. Hypocrisy? That doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Americans aren’t fooled. If a U.S. leader disappeared without a trace, the mainstream press would lose its mind. But when it’s an Islamic dictatorship, the left looks the other way. Maybe it’s time to ask what truths Iran is hiding—and why Democrats are so desperate not to find out.
