Deadly snakes are taking over California trails while leaders do nothing

Something is slithering through Southern California right now, and it’s more than just rattlesnakes. There’s a growing disaster on the hiking trails. In just a few weeks, two people lost their lives after deadly encounters with these venomous snakes. And yet, what do our politicians and so-called “leaders” do? They wring their hands, clutch their virtue signals, and pretend nature will just magically take care of itself.

Outdoor recreation in California used to be part of the American dream. Now, thanks to years of liberal mismanagement and environmental extremism, it’s becoming a nightmare. Park services are overwhelmed, trails are neglected, and public safety is clearly not a priority—unless, of course, you’re a protected rodent or a “climate change refugee.” For the everyday taxpayer who wants to take a walk in the wilderness, you’re on your own.

The left loves to lecture about “living in harmony” with wildlife—except it’s always on your dime, and at your risk. The relentless push for “natural” landscapes, all in the name of fighting the phantom of global warming, leaves the brush untamed and the danger ignored. Meanwhile, rattlesnakes thrive, while bureaucrats slither out of responsibility. Where’s the accountability? Where’s the investment in public safety, instead of endless funds for green “studies” and useless climate summits?

California’s elite will blame “climate change” for the sudden surge in snakebites, hoping to dodge the real question: why aren’t our parks and trails safe? Why are deadly snakes allowed to overrun the spaces we’re told are protected by government oversight? This is the reality when you put ideology over common sense, and “biodiversity” over basic human safety. It’s a perfect snapshot of how liberal priorities consistently leave regular Americans in danger, whether it’s on the streets, in schools, or now, on the trails.

Until our leaders stop pandering to environmental radicals and start actually caring about the people who pay their salaries, Southern California’s deadly pattern will keep repeating. How many more Americans need to die before someone admits that the real predators aren’t just hiding in the brush—they’re sitting in city hall?
