There’s never a shortage of left-wing stupidity, but the latest jaw-dropper comes straight out of Michigan. Apparently, we’re supposed to tiptoe around the death of Iran’s religious tyrant, Ali Khamenei, just in case some sensitive Democrat voters get their feelings hurt. Yes, you heard that right—the very same people who can’t shut up about “speaking truth to power” suddenly want silence when telling the truth might cost them a few precious votes.
Only a modern Democrat could think protecting the reputation of a murderous foreign dictator takes priority over standing with the American people. Iran’s regime has funded terrorists, chanted “Death to America,” and oppressed its own people for decades, but Michigan liberals would rather hush things up. Why? Because they’re worried some pro-Iran voters might get “sad.” This is what happens when your entire political playbook is focused on pandering to every angry interest group you can find.
Of course, the big mouths on the left would never bite their tongues if the shoe was on the other foot. Imagine if a Republican ever suggested coddling the feelings of America’s enemies. There would be howls of outrage from every CNN anchor and Hollywood celebrity. But when Democrats cozy up to anti-American radicals, the media stays silent. It’s hypocrisy at its finest.
Let’s be clear—if your party’s election strategy hinges on shielding supporters of a brutal regime from bad news, maybe you ought to rethink your coalition. Last time we checked, America still stands for freedom, not sharia law or terror sponsorship. Our leaders should be cheering the end of a dictator’s reign, not lamely cringing over potential “sadness” in their voter base.
Democrats bend over backwards for their radical allies, even if it means undermining the country. When will they finally decide to stand with America instead of global tyrants? Or is pandering to every anti-American cause really what it means to be a modern liberal? The real question: how much lower can they go?
