Liberals like to lecture Americans about “clean energy” and the supposed evils of fossil fuels. Meanwhile, back in the real world, oil remains the engine that powers our economy. It’s not wind turbines or solar panels keeping the country moving—it’s the oil coming through critical choke points like the Strait of Hormuz. When more ships sail through that strait, getting actual oil to actual people, prices have a way of cooling off. Maybe that’s a lesson the left needs to learn.
Right now, there’s actual hope on the horizon. More countries are making deals with Iran, which means more oil is flowing through the strait and onto the global market. That kind of increased shipping takes real pressure off oil prices. It’s simple supply and demand—the more oil coming through, the less we have to pay at the pump. Funny how common sense works when you aren’t blinded by anti-oil virtue signaling.
Of course, the liberals and their globalist buddies would rather see us shackled to the fantasy of “green” everything while gas prices skyrocket. They talk about equity and climate justice, but they sure don’t care when everyday families pay twice as much just to fill their tank. American energy independence doesn’t fit their narrative, so they’re happy to let OPEC or even Iran call the shots.
Meanwhile, hard-working Americans are forced to watch DC politicians bow to foreign players instead of pushing for more domestic production. Maybe it’s time we stop letting global interests play Russian roulette with our energy supply. If we had real leadership, we’d be flooding the market with American oil—not waiting around for Iran to get its act together.
At the end of the day, energy reality always wins. You can’t drive an economy—or a minivan—on hot air and hashtags. Maybe if the left pulled their heads out of the clouds, we’d get real solutions instead of empty slogans. Are Americans supposed to just suck it up and pay whatever the globalists and green fanatics demand? Not a chance.
