There’s something deeply twisted happening just north of our border. In Canada, a woman named Miriam Lancaster went to the hospital for severe back pain. But instead of real help, doctors actually offered to kill her off. That’s right—she walked in for pain relief and doctors handed her the option of government-approved euthanasia, dressed up with a nice-sounding name: Medical Assistance in Dying.
This isn’t compassion. It’s cruelty disguised in sterile hospital rooms. Liberals promised their so-called progressive policies would help the vulnerable. But now, Canada’s medical system is answering suffering with a death sentence. When pain gets tough, their solution isn’t better care. It’s getting rid of the weak and elderly—because taking care of people is just too expensive for big-government suits. Is this really what the left calls “progress”?
This is what happens when you hand over the reins of health care to globalist bureaucrats. They chip away at the value of life in the name of efficiency. Instead of true medical support, patients are pushed toward euthanasia because it’s the cheaper option. How long before this mentality infects the United States? If the left keeps gaining ground, it’s only a matter of time before those same death panels come knocking on our doors.
Liberals love to talk about “human rights,” but whose rights are they protecting when they let doctors decide who lives and who dies? What happened to empathy, to real medical care? The most basic right—the right to life—is being ignored by arrogant elites who think they know better than the families suffering under these heartless policies.
Americans should pay close attention. If we let leftists keep pushing their so-called progressive health-care “solutions,” our own loved ones could face the same unthinkable choice: suffer, or step aside for good. Is this the future we want—where the government decides if you’re worth saving?
