While people struggle to make ends meet, the so-called experts at the Michigan Public Service Commission just handed Consumers Energy permission to collect hundreds of millions more from hardworking Americans. That means sky-high electric bills are coming, starting in May. Who wins in all this? Not the mom trying to put food on the table. Not the retiree choosing between medicine and lights. The only winners are greedy utilities and their supporters in Lansing.
You have to wonder: where does this madness end? The powers that be claim it’s all about infrastructure and “green” upgrades. What it really does is pile even more pressure on the forgotten middle class. Residents are asked to pay more and more every year, while the bureaucrats pushing this agenda collect their taxpayer-funded paychecks with smiles on their faces. Meanwhile, globalist climate fanatics continue dreaming up new ways to bleed the average American dry, all in the name of “progress.”
The truth no one wants to say out loud? With each rate hike, the elite grows fatter. Energy companies rake in the cash, while customers watch their budgets shrink. Liberals love to talk about helping the little guy—yet here we are, watching another anti-American squeeze on working families. Hypocrisy much? They say it’s for the environment, but conveniently forget that families can’t put green energy on the dinner table.
This is more than bad policy. It’s outright disrespect to the citizens footing the bill for out-of-touch schemes. Politicians in Michigan encourage these endless hikes while ignoring the pain they cause. If the left had its way, everyone would be living in the dark while their globalist friends counted the cash in private boardrooms.
