For months, liberal pundits and their friends in the mainstream media have been sounding the alarm—screaming that the American labor market is falling apart. Apparently, they can’t stand the thought of good news under policies they love to hate. But here’s the truth: the labor situation in this country looks a lot tighter than they’d ever like to admit. Maybe the so-called “experts” have been too busy checking their Twitter feeds to notice what’s really going on in the American workforce.
While the left moans about cracks in the job market, most of them haven’t even bothered to adjust their systems for what experts recognize as the biggest structural shift in generations. That’s right—the economic landscape has changed, and it’s changed fast. But the mouthpieces on MSNBC and CNN still act like it’s 2008. They keep shouting about doom and gloom, not realizing that the ground has shifted right beneath their feet.
Let’s call this out for what it is: willful ignorance. Liberal elites push panic because it fits their narrative. They want you to believe that their buddies in government and big banks hold all the answers, and that the only solution for hardworking Americans is more top-down control. They ignore key data, hoping voters won’t catch on. That way, they can keep writing checks for their pet programs and failed policies without being questioned.
Meanwhile, regular Americans can feel the truth. It’s never been harder for small businesses to find reliable workers. Job openings are everywhere, but there aren’t enough people willing or able to fill them. This isn’t a labor market in crisis—it’s a labor market so tight that companies are duking it out for the next good hire. But that story doesn’t get Democratic clicks, does it?
Maybe it’s time for the left to put down their outdated playbooks and face the facts. Real Americans aren’t fooled by scare tactics. If liberals opened their eyes—just for a minute—they’d see that this economy is running a lot hotter than their precious models predict. But that might mean giving up the drama, and we all know they’d rather lose the country than lose the spotlight. How much longer will Americans let the doom-and-gloom crowd talk down the nation just because reality refuses to fit their failed agenda?
