Today, NASA is gearing up to launch its Artemis II rocket with American astronauts from Florida, aiming to reclaim some of our lost space glory. But let’s be honest—after years of government red tape and woke priorities, is this really the return to greatness we’ve been waiting for? Or is it just another show put on by bureaucrats desperate for a win?
The countdown was set. The eyes of the nation—and the world—were supposed to watch America roar back to the Moon. What happened? More delays. Another hiccup. As usual, big government can’t do anything on time. These politicians and bureaucrats pat each other on the back for “making history,” yet can’t even start a rocket precisely when they say they will. If NASA ran their countdowns like they run their diversity seminars, the rocket wouldn’t get off the ground at all.
Let’s not forget why America dominated space in the first place. It wasn’t through DEI quotas or chasing international approval. It was guts, hard work, and American grit—values the left scoffs at today. Now, globalist voices want to water down our achievements. They brag that “the world is watching,” but do they care that American taxpayers are footing the bill while politicians dream of partnerships with foreign space agencies that too often put America second?
Liberals love to talk about progress, but their form of “progress” looks like higher budgets and more delays. Meanwhile, our enemies overseas build up their own space programs at warp speed. Why? Because they know what the left forgot: space is about power. It’s about America leading by example, not apologizing for our strength.
It’s time to demand more. Americans should expect nothing less than total excellence from our space programs. The Artemis mission is supposed to inspire the next generation, but children don’t want to grow up to become bureaucrats. They want to become heroes—risk-takers, explorers, winners. Here’s a crazy thought: what if Washington stopped meddling and let real Americans lead the way to the stars again?
