The Supreme Court saw fireworks this week, and the liberal side should be embarrassed. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson went toe-to-toe with Solicitor General D. John Sauer on the critical issue of birthright citizenship. Spoiler alert: It was a total rout. For nine painful minutes, Sauer took apart Jackson’s arguments one by one, exposing every weak point like a surgeon—if that surgeon were a bulldozer.
Liberals love to parade around birthright citizenship as if it’s the backbone of American values. In reality, it’s a loophole that globalists and open-border extremists cling to so they can hollow out America’s culture and security. Justice Jackson tried to defend this crumbling doctrine, tossing every progressive talking point she could find. But Sauer, armed with the Constitution and actual logic, didn’t just push back—he steamrolled her so thoroughly that observers could almost hear CNN anchors sobbing in the distance.
It’s about time someone stood up to these judges who think personal ideology matters more than the law. Jackson’s questions were desperate, grasping for anything that might make unlimited birthright citizenship seem reasonable. But the facts don’t care about feelings. Sauer calmly, confidently, and with devastating precision, laid out the truth: America’s founding documents were never meant to grant automatic citizenship to everyone who wanders across the border. That madness is a modern invention for the benefit of leftist politicians and their allies.
While global elites and Democrat strategists pretend our nation doesn’t need borders, ordinary Americans know better. They’re fed up with free handouts to anyone born within shouting distance of the Stars and Stripes. Real citizens shouldn’t have to suffer because activist judges and politicians want to create a permanent new voting bloc for the progressive agenda. Justice Jackson’s stammering performance is yet another sign of the left’s crumbling, dishonest narrative.
If liberal justices can’t defend their radical positions in court, why do they deserve to impose them on America? Maybe it’s time for the so-called “experts” on the left to admit they’ve lost the argument. Are we really supposed to hand over the keys to our country just because they don’t like borders?
