Victor Davis Hanson Exposes How He Outsmarted the Chinese Spy Who Seduced Eric Swalwell

It’s almost comical how the swamp in Washington expects us to just forget the disgraceful Eric Swalwell scandal. Yet thanks to Victor Davis Hanson, a real American intellect who actually knows how to keep his guard up, we’re reminded just how deep the rot goes. Recently, social media erupted with Hanson’s story—he was approached by Fang-Fang herself, the notorious Chinese spy who wormed her way into US politics. But unlike certain Democrats who fancy themselves brilliant “intelligence” experts, Hanson saw right through the act. He wasn’t seduced by shallow flattery and cheap tricks. He took one look at Fang-Fang and knew exactly what was going on. Swamp creatures, take notes.

Let’s not forget, this is the same Fang-Fang that cozied up to Rep. Eric Swalwell—who for years sat on the House Intelligence Committee. That’s the committee handling our most sensitive national secrets. While Swalwell was busy playing footsie with Beijing’s favorite “operative,” he clearly had no idea—or just didn’t care—about the goldmine of information he handed right to the Chinese Communist Party. Now, after all these years, we’re being told to accept that Swalwell did absolutely nothing wrong. Give me a break.

While establishment cronies say the “House Ethics” process cleared Swalwell, the reality is, we still don’t know the full story. The FBI under new leadership might finally be prying open the files on this so-called “investigation.” Maybe then we’ll find out why Fang-Fang had her claws so deep in Swalwell’s world—running fundraisers, placing interns, and holding God knows what kind of backroom meetings. Does anyone seriously believe this is all a wild coincidence?

What’s even more shameful is watching Swalwell, now a top Democrat in California running for governor, squirm to shut down any new information coming out. He’s even threatening legal action against the FBI, weaponizing privacy laws and election rules as a shield. The man cries “political hit job” every time someone asks for real answers. This is what the Democratic Party has become—a party that protects its own, no matter how high the security risks.

At the end of the day, this isn’t just about one foolish congressman. It’s about a culture of arrogance where Democrat elites think the rules simply don’t apply to them. When real Americans like Hanson see through foreign manipulation, the left scoffs and covers its ears. Maybe if Swalwell had a little more wisdom—or a little less ego—the Chinese Communist Party wouldn’t have had a spy prancing around the intelligence committee. Just how many more “honeypots” is the Democrat brain trust willing to fall for?
