California has just bragged about seizing 37,000 pounds of fentanyl since 2021. Think about that for a second. That’s not a victory—it’s a massive burning red flag. Over 54 million poison-laced pills, worth a stunning half a billion dollars, have found their way into the Golden State. The politicians want pats on the back for hauling this in. Meanwhile, they ignore the obvious: This much fentanyl doesn’t get smuggled in overnight or by accident. There’s a pipeline straight through our broken southern border, and every Californian should be asking why nothing actually changes.
The liberal regime running California wants to parade around as heroes. But this drug flood is a crisis they helped unleash with their open-border fantasies and endless benefits for anyone who sneaks in. The fentanyl didn’t wander across the desert all by itself. Criminals and cartels are emboldened because Sacramento and DC treat border security like a dirty word. This is what happens when immigration laws are tossed aside; families are left to pick up the pieces while the political elites lecture us about “compassion.”
These numbers are a sign of failure, not success. Every single pound of fentanyl seized means someone failed to stop it from getting into California in the first place. It means more families are put at risk. And if there’s enough fentanyl slipping through to fill eighteen tons, you can bet there’s even more that got past the authorities. Liberals want people to focus on what was confiscated, so no one asks about what’s slipping through while politicians look the other way.
Gavin Newsom and the Sacramento crowd love to claim they’re leading the way on public safety. But who are they kidding? They can’t even keep deadly drugs from flooding into their own backyard. They pat themselves on the back for cleaning up part of the mess they created. That’s like breaking all the windows in your house, sweeping up a few shards, and expecting a thank you. Ordinary Americans pay the price so that the left can keep pretending everything’s under control.
Why do we keep letting these globalist, out-of-touch leaders gamble with our children’s lives? Enough with the hypocrisy. If Democrats really cared about stopping the fentanyl crisis, they’d secure the border today. Tallying up drug busts isn’t progress—that’s just damage control after disaster. California’s “milestone” isn’t proof of good government. It’s proof that liberal policies are putting this country at risk. How many more milestones will it take before Americans say, “No more?”
