Once again, the so-called “religion of peace” has shown its true colors. In Michigan, an area already known for its high concentration of Middle Eastern immigrants, authorities faced another frightening attack—this time, a Muslim man from the Dearborn area tried to blow up a Jewish synagogue. He wasn’t just acting alone out of some personal grievance. He was reportedly tied to Hezbollah — the terrorist group funded and supported by Iran, which has sworn hatred for Jews and everything America stands for.
The suspect armed his truck with explosives—yes, actual explosives, not just words or mean looks—before ramming it into a place of worship. Who does this in America? And where did he get such ideas and motivation? It isn’t random. This is imported hatred, brought on the backs of failed border policies and weak leadership that refuses to call out radical Islam for the global threat it is.
Liberals love to scold Americans about tolerance, but where are they when Jewish communities are threatened by terrorists in their own neighborhoods? Instead of condemning the danger, the left bends over backward to pretend these acts are isolated or have nothing to do with radical ideology. The media is silent. Joe Biden’s team is more worried about climate lectures and pronouns than real terror in our towns.
Multiculturalism and open borders have consequences. For years, Dearborn has been pointed to as the “model” of diversity. But importing pockets of anti-American, anti-Semitic extremism is not what the Founders had in mind. If anything, weak screenings and virtue-signaling immigration policies have left Americans more vulnerable than ever.
How many wake-up calls does America need before our leaders get serious about the threat of radical Islam? How many synagogues should fear the next attack from Hezbollah fanatics living down the street? Liberals might live in a fantasy world, but the rest of us are tired of their games. America deserves better than this imported violence.
