When was the last time you heard of New York’s socialist overlords managing anything close to that?
But let’s not kid ourselves. This isn’t happening because government bureaucrats suddenly woke up and decided to help working families. It’s happening because Phoenix still respects the basic laws of supply and demand. There’s no army of meddling city officials strangling landlords with red tape or chasing investors out of town. In blue-state cities like New York, ham-fisted “reforms” have choked off new construction and sent prices soaring for everyone except the wealthy and the well-connected. Over in Arizona, they just let the market work—and look what happens: rent is actually becoming affordable again!
Blame must fall where it belongs. The left—those globalist mouthpieces and champagne socialists—love to blame greedy landlords and evil corporations whenever rent goes up. But when their own policies force landlords to take losses or chase working-class families out of town, suddenly it’s “the system’s fault.” They preach equity and fairness, but who really benefits from rent control and endless regulation? The entrenched, the bureaucrats, the cronies—the very people who pretend to be the little guy’s champions.
Contrast that with Arizona’s approach. Here, hard-working Americans get results. Landlords aren’t villains—they’re opening doors, offering deals, and treating renters like valued customers instead of faceless statistics. It’s not complicated: you build more, you have more available, and the price goes down. The so-called experts say it can’t be done—but it’s happening right now in the heartland while New York spirals farther into chaos.
So, remind us again: who’s really looking out for the average American? The answer sure isn’t the big-government liberals crowding city hall in New York, wrecking yet another housing market with their “people’s policies.” The future belongs to places like Phoenix, where freedom and common sense still reign. Maybe it’s time for New York’s failed leaders to take some notes—for once in their lives, they might actually learn what works.
