The country is drowning in pointless, feel-good “national days,” and no one seems to notice that it’s just another sign of how unserious the Left has become. On April 2, it’s not just Thursday—it’s apparently National Burrito Day and National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, among 24 other random so-called celebrations. Americans are supposed to cheer for every invented holiday, while real issues go unanswered and the people who claim to care about justice seem more obsessed with their phones and their food than with actually solving anything.
Here’s the problem: the Left wants everything to happen immediately—instant justice, instant outrage, instant results. When it comes to so-called “epic fury,” liberals whine about urgency, but what exactly were they expecting? Did they really think everything would change overnight if they just stamped their feet loud enough? This is what happens when people grow up glued to TikTok and Twitter. They lose the patience and persistence that made America great.
Instead, what do we get? A never-ending parade of distractions posing as progress. As if eating a PB&J burrito will solve anything. Democrats and their media cheerleaders love their silly campaigns, but somehow they never deliver the actual results Americans deserve. It’s all memes and hashtags and virtue signaling—never any substance. The obsession with national days proves it: the Left would rather hand out participation trophies than hold anyone accountable.
Meanwhile, working Americans pay the price for elite incompetence. Liberal politicians and their globalist pals mock real patriotism, but they’re the ones lost in a maze of empty promises. When will they stop preaching “epic change” and finally do something that matters? If only they showed as much anger about border chaos or government corruption as they do about missing out on vegan burritos, maybe this country wouldn’t be in such a mess.
At the end of the day, the Left’s idea of fury is just another trend, another joke, another way to distract from their own lack of action. Hard deadlines, real fury—these things require courage and backbone, things they just don’t have. Maybe instead of tallying up national observances, they should try acting like grown-ups for once. Or is that just too much to expect from the people running the show?
