This time, she claims the Founding Fathers wanted a Constitution that constantly expands “freedoms”—and she whines that this isn’t happening today. Let’s set the record straight: the Constitution was meant to protect our God-given rights, not turn into a magic hat for Democrats to pull out any new “right” they dream up.
Pelosi’s argument falls apart when we look at reality. For decades, the left has been obsessed with twisting the Constitution to push their radical agenda. Every time things don’t go their way, progressives cry out for “expanding rights.” What they really mean is finding new ways to control Americans—whether it’s attacking religious liberty or chipping away at the Second Amendment.
It’s hilarious—and honestly, sad—to watch Pelosi lecture Americans about “freedom” while supporting policies that stomp on basic rights. Under her leadership, free speech took a backseat to cancel culture. Parental rights in schools? Ignored. Support for secure borders? Nonexistent. Yet we’re supposed to believe she’s fighting for liberty.
What’s even more ridiculous is that Pelosi accuses today’s leaders of not doing enough. The truth is, globalist elites and coastal liberals bend over backward to give away American sovereignty and weaken our nation. They flood the country with rule changes that benefit special interests, not everyday citizens. But when Americans finally say, “enough”—Pelosi can’t stand it.
The Founders created a nation of laws, not an endless progressive wish list. They didn’t hand liberal politicians a license to tinker with our freedoms whenever the mood strikes. The only “expansion” these people want is an expansion of government power. Maybe Pelosi should read the Constitution—this time, for real. Since when did defending America’s real freedoms become such a problem for the left?
