That’s right—if you love driving your old gas-powered pickup, you’ll still get to foot the bill when your neighbor’s electric hatchback needs a tune up. Only in California.
Democrat politicians call it a “green” idea, but what it really does is transfer even more money to the trendy crowd who can afford electric vehicles while punishing the regular folks who can’t. California is rolling out a scheme that throws taxpayer dollars at fixing personal EVs. If you thought owning a car was about personal responsibility, Sacramento just rewrote the rules. Suddenly, everybody’s wallet is open—except for the ones who made the choice to buy these expensive electric toys.
Here’s the ugly truth: Californians struggling to fill their grocery carts will now help cover software updates or battery replacements for people who drive Teslas or electric Smart Cars. It’s a massive handout—from the working class to the woke. They pretend to care about “equity,” but in reality, it’s the liberals in government looking after their friends in Big Tech and the green energy clubs. They want applause from globalists while leaving hardworking Californians behind.
This isn’t just about electric cars. It’s about failed liberal priorities that always put the burden back on ordinary Americans. Politicians promise paradise, but all we get is higher bills and more government control. Meanwhile, the state can’t keep the lights on, can’t fix the roads, and can’t stop people from fleeing to freedom in red states. They brag about saving the planet while shoveling taxpayer cash to the ones who need it least.
If California wants to reward rich EV owners on your dime, what will they force you to pay for next? Maybe your neighbor’s next avocado toast brunch? This is why America can’t afford more of these out-of-touch, liberal experiments.
