America used to be a country where the White House stood tall as a symbol of strength and order. Now, gunshots ring out near its doorstep, in Lafayette Park, just steps away from where our leaders are supposed to keep us safe. The Secret Service scrambles, unsure and unprepared, as chaos erupts right under their noses. It’s hard not to wonder—how did we get here?
The answer is painfully obvious: years of weak liberal policies and soft-on-crime attitudes have turned even the most protected sites in America into targets. We’ve watched as Democrat-run cities devolve; crime spreads like wildfire because the people in charge would rather push “equity” than enforce the law. Now this mess is right outside the most important house in the country. Embarrassing.
Every time liberals get caught flat-footed, we’re told to “stay calm” or “wait for the facts.” But the facts are staring us in the face: the left’s obsession with coddling criminals is turning American streets into war zones. The White House is supposed to be the safest address on Earth, but try telling that to the folks in Lafayette Park today.
Meanwhile, the globalist elite flock to their safe spaces and gated communities, lecturing the rest of us on gun control and disarming law-abiding Americans. How ironic is it that gunfire now echoes right next to the home of those who demonize the Second Amendment? Maybe if the city put as much effort into policing as it does into virtue signaling, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
The reality is clear. So long as we have weak leaders who are more worried about being “woke” than being tough on crime, no place in America is truly safe. Is this what the left considers progress? Patriots should be fuming. The question left is: how much more lawlessness will we tolerate before we say enough is enough?
