Highway Trust Fund runs dry while roads crumble and politicians look away

America’s highways are falling apart, and now, things are about to go from bad to worse. The Highway Trust Fund, the main pot of cash keeping our roads and bridges alive, is quickly drying up. That means more potholes, crumbling bridges, and endless traffic headaches for everyday Americans—all because politicians in Washington can’t get their act together.

Instead of fixing highways, too much cash has gone into pet projects, wasteful programs, and “green” boondoggles liberals love to push. Public transit vanity projects and climate schemes have gobbled up dollars meant for real infrastructure. And now, when America’s roads are at a breaking point, surprise—there’s no money left.

This is what happens when out-of-touch elites in D.C. focus more on their globalist dreams and bike lanes than on actually keeping America running. They claim to care about working families, but can’t even figure out how to pay for the roads and bridges we use to get to work and put food on the table. Maybe if politicians spent less time obsessing over woke causes and more time doing their jobs, our highways wouldn’t be collapsing.

While Americans are forced to dodge potholes the size of small craters and creep across rusty bridges, politicians will act shocked when disaster strikes. Liberals are always ready to spend trillions on whatever social experiment is trendy, but when it comes to the basics, they fail—again and again. No wonder people have lost faith in government, especially when it’s run by clueless bureaucrats.

So here we are, stuck with a disaster on our roads while Washington fiddles. The so-called Highway Trust Fund is running on fumes, and the only thing moving fast is our infrastructure falling apart. How much longer will Americans put up with politicians who can’t even keep the country’s roads from turning into scrapyards?
