Minnesota unemployment hits five year high as liberal policies send jobs packing again

Minnesota is once again in the spotlight, but not for anything good. The state’s unemployment rate just shot up to the highest it’s been in half a decade. Instead of rolling up their sleeves and fixing real problems, the usual liberal crowd is pointing fingers and making excuses. Leaders in Minnesota blame this spike on so-called economic “disruptions” from federal immigration raids and tariffs. But isn’t it convenient for them to blame everyone except themselves?

Let’s get real about the situation. The economy in Minnesota isn’t hurting because we’re finally enforcing immigration laws or taking a tough stance on trade with foreign countries like China. It’s hurting because decades of big government, tax-and-spend liberalism, and anti-business policies have trapped the state’s workers and employers. Liberals love to welcome illegal immigration and globalist trade deals that sell out American workers—and then act shocked when middle America gets walloped.

Now, Minnesota politicians want to look to Washington when the going gets rough. They shout about immigration crackdowns being unfair. What’s really unfair is that hardworking Americans have to compete with a flood of illegal labor, while Democrats in Minnesota bend over backward for open borders and big unions. It’s laughable how the same liberals who campaign for job-killing regulations try to blame federal efforts to put Americans first.

The left’s answer to everything is more government and more blame games. Instead of building a climate that supports business, they chase them away with high taxes and crazy red tape. Then they cry foul when jobs dry up. Why is it that states run by Democrats keep ending up as prime examples of failure, while conservative states create growth?

Minnesota’s jobless numbers aren’t some mysterious accident. It’s the direct result of liberal incompetence and the constant selling out of American interests for cheap political points. How many more working families need to suffer before these politicians admit their so-called “solutions” do nothing but make things worse? When will common sense take the place of their tired excuses?
