The streets of New Iberia, Louisiana, were supposed to be filled with celebration and family this weekend. Instead, chaos erupted when a car barreled through a Lao New Year parade, leaving at least 13 innocent Americans battered and broken. Scenes like this used to be unthinkable in the heartland, but they’re all too common now in Joe Biden’s America. Two people had to be flown out by helicopter—let that sink in—while ambulances hauled away the rest of the wounded. People out just to enjoy their culture and their freedom almost lost their lives because of total disregard for public safety.
Of course, the authorities tell us the suspect is in custody. But where’s the leadership? Where are the loud voices from the Left, screaming about “community safety” when everyday Americans are run down at local parades? You won’t see them marching or lighting up social media. The double-standard is clear as day. If the narrative doesn’t serve the liberal agenda, it gets swept under the rug.
What’s worse is how fast everyone rushes to bury these stories once they don’t fit the woke playbook. Thirteen people get mowed down at a festival in small-town Louisiana and it’s business as usual. Yet if this had happened in New York or California, we’d see wall-to-wall coverage, complete with crocodile tears from progressive politicians blaming society or calling for even more government control over your life.
Let’s talk about the real root of this madness. Democrats are too busy worrying about pronouns and borderless globalist dreams to actually crack down on crime. Law-abiding Americans pay the price, again and again, for the Left’s total failure to prioritize basic safety. In the end, it’s always Main Street families, parade-goers, and the proud backbone of this country who get tossed aside.
How many more innocent people need to get hurt before the powers-that-be admit what everyone with common sense already knows? Liberal policies put Americans in danger, and no amount of spin can hide that brutal truth.
