You won’t believe how California burned 135 billion dollars with nothing to show for it

California’s $135 billion train disaster is a perfect example of progressive dreams becoming taxpayer nightmares. Governor Gavin Newsom and his left-wing cronies don’t seem to care that, despite all the press conferences and big promises, this so-called “high-speed rail” has produced nothing but failure. Billions have vanished, not a single mile of working track exists, and yet they’re still patting themselves on the back, calling it a “model for the future.” Only in liberal California could government incompetence be spun as success while everyone else sees a flat-out debacle.

Let’s be real—this project is exactly what happens when liberals get their hands on your money. They sell pipe dreams about bullet trains and green utopias, but ordinary families just get stuck with higher taxes, more debt, and less hope. Meanwhile, the real problems in the Golden State keep getting worse. Homeless camps now line the streets of major cities. Crime rates are through the roof. Anyone with an ounce of common sense is fleeing for states where leaders actually know how to balance a budget.

Newsom and his pals keep insisting that California is “leading the nation.” If blowing billions on a train to nowhere is leadership, no wonder businesses and working families are making a run for the border. It’s hard to believe just how tone-deaf Sacramento elites can be. While Californians struggle to pay rent and fill their gas tanks, bureaucrats are lighting taxpayer cash on fire and calling it “investing in the future.” The only ones getting rich off this gravy train are consultants and political donors.

Don’t forget: this whole boondoggle was supposed to be a shining example for the rest of America. Instead, it’s a warning sign—a neon billboard that says, “This is what you get with the left in charge!” How many more failed projects, wasted dollars, and empty promises will it take before voters wake up? When the only track record progressives have is for wasting money, it’s time to stop handing them the checkbook.

The high-speed rail fiasco is just the latest proof that California’s ruling class cares more about globalist headlines and green fantasies than real, working Americans. In the end, the only “high speed” thing about this entire mess is how fast your money disappears. How many more “trains to nowhere” do we need before we realize liberal ideas always end in disaster?
