Boston is back in the spotlight, but not for any reason that should make Democrats proud. This week, ICE agents in Boston rounded up five illegal aliens who were wanted for homicide—serious international fugitives with Interpol Red Notices hanging over their heads. They weren’t hiding in some far-off country. They weren’t in a secret bunker overseas. They were right here in the United States, hiding out in plain sight, thanks to our open-borders politicians.
While the men and women of ICE put their lives on the line to get these dangerous criminals off our streets, liberal leaders like Boston’s own Mayor Wu seem more upset about the arrests than the crimes themselves. Think about that. Instead of thanking these agents for keeping Boston families safe, she’s the most hurt by the fact that foreign murder suspects are finally facing justice. Liberal priorities on full display—protect the feelings of criminals, not the rights of citizens.
This is what happens when you turn your city into a so-called “sanctuary.” When Democrats invite the world’s worst into America, pretending that fantasy and reality are the same thing, crime flourishes. The real victims are hardworking Americans left picking up the pieces. These international killers knew where to hide—liberal-run cities where law enforcement has its hands tied and ICE is treated like the bad guys.
Big globalist interests and activist politicians are more interested in scoring woke points than in serving justice. Where’s the concern for the families of the people these suspects killed? Where’s the outrage that people on Interpol’s most-wanted list can use America as their hideout? The left only cares about political optics, while conservatives stare the ugly truth in the face.
Maybe Mayor Wu and her friends in city hall should turn off the TV, roll up their sleeves, and do the actual work of keeping communities safe. Or maybe they’re too busy writing up the next “sanctuary” policy to notice the blood on their own hands. If Boston’s liberal leaders can’t protect their own people, maybe it’s time voters found someone who will.
