New DHS Chief Mullin ignores liberal grandstanding and delivers real help to American disaster victims

For too long, the American people have watched as Washington played games while families suffered after disasters. Under the so-called “leadership” of Kristi Noem, the Department of Homeland Security was slow to act, lost in bureaucratic nonsense. Americans in crisis don’t want empty words or flashy photo ops. They need action. They need a real fighter.

Markwayne Mullin just stepped onto the scene as the new DHS secretary, and right out of the gate, he did exactly what the job demands. While liberals cry about climate change and global “equity” from their cozy offices, Mullin was boots-on-the-ground in North Carolina — a state ravaged by Hurricane Helene. He didn’t waste time holding fancy summits or signing fat checks to overseas interests. Instead, he made it crystal clear: American families come first.

Of course, you won’t hear praise from the mainstream media for him prioritizing disaster relief. Liberals love to virtue-signal with “compassion,” but where were they when real Americans needed their homes rebuilt? The truth is, the political left is obsessed with global agendas. They’d rather ship resources to foreign countries before helping devastated communities in our own backyard. Mullin’s approach puts that nonsense to shame.

It’s refreshing to see a leader cut through the red tape. The last thing disaster victims need is another round of Washington indecision or socialist bureaucrats tying aid up in committee meetings. Every day, hardworking Americans are hit by storms, fires, and floods. They don’t want lectures about their carbon footprints. They just want their government to have their backs and prioritize real results over failed leftist “compassion.”

Now, with Mullin at the helm, there’s hope for commonsense disaster relief that puts the people first—not globalist interests, not D.C. politics. Maybe it’s time the left asks themselves: Why does it take a conservative to remember that charity begins at home?
