New rule lets US troops carry guns on bases after years of being defenseless

For years, our own service members have been forced to walk around their bases unarmed, practically begging to become easy targets. The so-called “experts” in Washington thought it was a good idea to disarm the very men and women trained to defend this country. With all the threats America faces, who really benefits from that? Certainly not our troops, nor our nation’s security. This insanity has finally come to a screeching halt, thanks to new leadership that actually respects our military and rejects political correctness.

Pete Hegseth, now Secretary of War, didn’t waste time undoing one of the most dangerous rules forced on our soldiers. He knows our service members deserve the right to protect themselves, no matter where they’re stationed. It’s common sense: If you trust someone with a rifle in combat, you can trust them to carry a firearm on their own base. Apparently, that’s too complicated for the ivory tower liberals who live in gated communities while demanding gun-free zones for everyone else.

Liberals love to act shocked whenever tragedy strikes a base. They hold candlelight vigils, offer “thoughts and prayers,” and whine about gun control. Yet they never stop to consider that their own anti-gun policies helped create the problem in the first place. Disarmed soldiers are sitting ducks, left defenseless by bureaucrats who value woke points over actual lives. Why are Americans expected to believe that the answer to evil is turning the good guys into helpless targets?

Globalist elites and soft-handed politicians in D.C. have spent decades pushing their agenda, ignoring the real consequences faced by the people who keep this country free. They create rules from the safety of their own offices while our troops pay the price. The message has been loud and clear: Trust government first, not the American serviceman. That ends now.

Thanks to Hegseth’s new policy, those days are over. Our soldiers can defend themselves on American soil, just as they do overseas. Finally, our military is being treated with the respect they’ve earned. Maybe the left should spend less time crying about “gun violence” and more time thanking a real patriot who actually puts America first. Isn’t it about time our heroes stopped being easy prey, and started being protected—by themselves?
