Shocking Michigan Senate candidate defends Iranian tyrant and the left rushes to his side

Democrats never miss a chance to show just how out of touch they are with everyday Americans—and with reality itself. The latest example comes from a Michigan Senate candidate, Abdul El-Sayed, who decided it was a good idea to claim Muslims would be upset about the death of Iran’s tyrant, Ayatollah Khamenei. Yes, you read that right. While the rest of the free world celebrates the end of a brutal dictator, the left is more worried about hurting feelings.

Let’s get one thing straight. Khamenei wasn’t just some random leader. He was the heart of a regime that’s spent decades terrorizing its own people, killing Americans, and exporting hate. The vast majority of Iranians themselves despise this man. In fact, recent data shows only about one in ten even supported him. So who is El-Sayed actually speaking for? It sure isn’t freedom-loving citizens—whether they’re in Michigan or Tehran.

When pressed, instead of defending his own words, El-Sayed danced around the facts and tried to shift blame to Donald Trump. That’s the liberal playbook in action: when in doubt, drag Trump into everything. It doesn’t matter that Trump never forced women into black veils or executed protesters in the street. For the far left, comparing a strong American president to a murderous Iranian theocrat is all fair game, as long as it fits the narrative.

But El-Sayed didn’t stop there. He threw in the kitchen sink, complaining about gas prices and illegal wars—anything to distract from the real issue. Here’s the truth: Americans aren’t mourning the death of a terrorist-loving dictator. They’re relieved. They want their leaders to stand up for Western values, not apologize for them or make excuses for foreign thugs who hate us.

Liberals like El-Sayed would rather side with globalists and America’s enemies than defend this country’s interests. They claim to speak for the people, but what they really offer is a mashup of victimhood and blame-America-first rhetoric. If this is the best Democrats have to offer, it’s no wonder Americans are fed up with their spineless pandering. Maybe it’s time someone reminded them—whose side are you on?
