Spanberger dodges debate as Virginians demand answers on secret redistricting plans

Virginians are already standing in line to vote, but the left still wants to keep voters in the dark. Former Governor George Allen is pushing hard for a public debate on the redistricting amendment, but the sitting Democrat, Abigail Spanberger, seems to be running away from real discussion. What’s she so scared of? It’s almost like the left doesn’t trust Virginians to hear both sides.

Every time there’s real talk about changing how districts are drawn, the establishment elite gets jittery. They love the smoke-filled back rooms. Career liberals like Spanberger know how to play that game. They talk big about “democracy” and “fairness,” but when it comes time for sunlight and open debate, suddenly they’re nowhere to be seen. Opposing a public debate is just their way of hiding their corrupt, self-serving plans.

While Virginians try to make their voices heard, the Democrat machine desperately clings to their power. They’re terrified of any reform that might break up their gerrymandered strongholds. It’s embarrassing how quickly these same liberals, who lecture us about transparency, turn mute when asked to defend their record or explain their schemes. What are they hiding? Only the voters can say, if they’re actually shown the truth.

Governor Allen is no stranger to tough fights, and he knows exactly what’s at stake. Fair maps mean honest elections. But the left only wants “fairness” when it helps them. Otherwise, they duck debates, dodge reporters, and tell Virginians to pipe down and do as they’re told. It’s classic liberal hypocrisy. Power for me, but not for thee.

If Spanberger and her party are so sure their way is best, why not take the gloves off and defend it on stage? Real leaders aren’t afraid of a little sunlight. Maybe, deep down, they know their redistricting tricks can’t survive real scrutiny. Virginians deserve better than more of the same from this bunch of dodgers. The question is, will Spanberger keep hiding, or finally show up and face the people she claims to represent?
