Rep. Maria Salazar is at it again—this time trying to pull the wool over the eyes of conservative Americans by pretending her “Dignity Act” isn’t just a fancy disguise for mass amnesty. It’s becoming clear that some in the GOP are more interested in pleasing their globalist masters and the open-borders lobby than listening to actual American citizens. When millions are flooding across our border and families are paying the price, Salazar’s pathetic denials ring hollow.
Let’s call her bill what it is: a free ticket for illegal immigrants to stay in this country and even bring in more once they’re legalized. That’s exactly what amnesty looks like, plain and simple. Washington elites want us to ignore our lying eyes, but the evidence is right there. Americans who believe in secure borders and law and order are being brushed aside just so politicians like Salazar can keep their donors happy.
Salazar hides behind fancy language, but who does she really represent? Hardworking Americans demanding security, or the activists demanding open borders and endless migration? Anyone with common sense knows that legalizing millions of law-breakers will only encourage more chaos at the southern border. But liberal incompetence and hypocrisy always gets a pass in D.C.
The left loves to cry about “compassion,” but their policies only hurt the communities they claim to care about. American workers are forced to compete for jobs and pay the costs, while radical globalists in both parties write blank checks for illegal migrants. If Salazar had an ounce of honesty, she’d just admit her bill is about amnesty, plain and simple.
The truth is, the “Dignity Act” is a betrayal to every American who plays by the rules. Conservatives have had enough of politicians who talk tough but push weak, pro-amnesty policies once the cameras are off. How many more times do we have to play this game before the GOP stands up for Americans, not illegal immigrants?
