That’s exactly what may happen in North Carolina, where Decarlos Brown Jr, 35, stands accused of brutally murdering 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, but might dodge prosecution if he’s found “incompetent to stand trial.” This is supposed to be justice?
Everyday Americans are forced to live under a system that protects criminals more than innocent victims. Liberals love to talk about fairness, but what is fair about letting someone accused of murder off the hook due to vague “competency” standards? With violent crime already out of control in blue states, bending over backwards for the accused only sends the message: do whatever you want, the system’s got your back.
It’s clear who suffers from these leftist laws: law-abiding citizens. Families like Iryna’s get left behind, while dangerous individuals slip through the cracks—thanks to ivory tower activists who write our laws for the benefit of the few, not the many. Where’s the compassion for the victims? Where’s the “equity” for those robbed of their lives and futures? It’s nowhere to be found in today’s so-called justice system.
This isn’t just incompetence. It’s willful neglect. The elites and their globalist buddies are only interested in chasing power and signaling their supposed virtue. Meanwhile, the streets become less safe, and families are forced to bury loved ones because our leaders would rather coddle criminals than protect the innocent. America was built on the rule of law—but that foundation is being eaten away by soft-on-crime nonsense.
How many more families have to get that heartbreaking phone call before our leaders finally wake up? Is this the America we want—a place where you can be killed and your killer sneaks away because some bureaucrat says he’s not “fit” to be held accountable? Enough is enough.
