For years, the Navy’s Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Boise has been collecting rust while politicians played games. It’s been parked at the docks since 2015—almost a decade. And what did the so-called leaders in Washington do? Kick the can down the road, all while our adversaries build up their military strength. Now, after endless delays and excuses, the Biden administration finally tried to throw money at the problem—a staggering $1.2 billion for repairs. That sky-high number was only supposed to get things started.
But surprise, surprise: costs exploded. Three billion dollars. That’s what it would have taken to finish the job. Three billion taxpayer dollars, flushed down the drain, all because the left can’t manage a repair project, let alone a nation. Yet liberals want us to believe they can “build back better?” They can’t even fix a submarine they already own! This is liberal incompetence on full display.
It’s no accident that this disaster happened on Biden’s watch. The left is obsessed with pushing their latest woke fantasies, making climate pledges, and propping up globalist causes. Meanwhile, our own self-defense is falling apart. They cry about “national security” from one side of their mouths, but when it’s time to do something real—like actually fix a vital piece of military hardware—they choke. Maybe they’re too busy trying to appease their buddies in China.
American taxpayers foot the bill for these messes. That means hardworking families pay more while the government wastes time and cash on failed projects. Liberals preach about priorities, but where is their sense of duty? If they had any respect for the military, they’d demand results—not endless bureaucracy, exploded budgets, and another broken promise.
The USS Boise debacle is just the latest symptom of liberal mismanagement and anti-American priorities in D.C. If they can’t handle one submarine, how can anyone trust them with the security of the United States? When will Americans say enough is enough?
