While the people in Cuba stand in food lines, watch their country crumble, and face brutal censorship, Miguel Díaz-Canel is suddenly popping up on U.S. news shows. Why? Not to apologize. Not to admit his socialist disaster has left Cubans hopeless. No, he’s out to blame America—and to vilify Donald Trump and Marco Rubio for daring to say the obvious: Cuba is falling apart.
Instead of fixing the endless shortages, the blackouts, or the oppression, the communists running Havana are panicking about their image in America. They know their only shot is to find some woke media stooge willing to swallow their tired propaganda. So Díaz-Canel acts like a victim, pretending U.S. policies and conservative critics are the real problem. It’s laughable. The only thing falling faster than Cuba’s economy is the reputation of any American politician who dares defend this failed system.
Where are the liberals who always cry about “democracy” and “justice”? They’re silent. Suddenly, the suffering of ordinary Cubans doesn’t matter. The truth is, too many on the left cozy up to socialist dictators. They’d rather blame American conservatives than admit socialism destroys countries time and again. It’s anti-American, it’s hypocritical, and it’s shameful.
The globalists and so-called “progressives” want to spin Cuba’s collapse as an American fault, not socialist failure. They want Americans to stop listening to leaders like Marco Rubio, who actually know what tyranny looks like. But even the world’s slickest PR campaign can’t polish up communism’s track record. The disaster in Cuba is one hundred percent made in Havana—not in Washington, not in Miami, and definitely not by those who refuse to let Marxists rewrite history.
If Díaz-Canel and his U.S. media friends think Americans are stupid enough to buy this routine, they’re in for another rude awakening. Americans know exactly what causes misery—just look at every place socialism touches. Maybe the only thing real conservatives and Cuban dictators can agree on is this: the left can’t ever admit when they’re wrong. How much more suffering does it take before liberals stop defending the indefensible?
