Joy Reid goes off the rails again with shocking claims about race and American history

Joy Reid has returned to the spotlight, and once again she’s spouting the same tired, race-baiting nonsense that has gotten her in trouble before. Instead of having a real conversation about history and culture, she goes straight for attacks on America—calling it a “slave hell” and painting our entire nation with the same hateful brush. It’s the same predictable playbook of grievance and division. Is anyone surprised that networks finally had enough of this venom?

She’s now doubling down, claiming white Americans just want to erase their past, while also insisting that black Americans invented basically everything good in this country—including music, while whites could only figure out how to steal it. Give me a break. Anyone with a basic knowledge of history knows America’s musical legacy is rich, diverse, and built by contributions from many people, not just one group. To say otherwise erases real history and insults all Americans.

If the left listened to Joy Reid, you’d think white Americans never invented a thing. Sorry, but facts matter. Whites gave us classical music, opera, the symphony, and much of what we call country music—born out of European folk traditions. Rock and roll was forged not by one culture alone, but through collaboration, merging R&B with hillbilly music. Let’s not ignore the truth: white musicians pioneered entire genres like punk, heavy metal, and grunge. Who decided Elvis is the devil and Sister Rosetta Tharpe was robbed? It’s woke revisionist propaganda.

The radical left loves to push the narrative that America is rotten and only black Americans have contributed anything of value. Never mind the inventions of English, the internet, cell phones, or air conditioning—conveniences the world relies on thanks to Western innovation. Meanwhile, the left wants to sweep all this under the rug and rewrite our past to fit their agenda. It’s shameless, hateful, and anti-American.

Joy Reid represents everything wrong with liberal commentary today—fueled by division, driven by bitterness, and obsessed with blaming America for everything. She’ll never admit her world view is built on double standards. America deserves better than lectures from people whose only goal is to tear it all down. Maybe that’s why fewer people are tuning in to listen. After all, what have the Joy Reids of the world ever given us except more reasons to roll our eyes?
