Liberals cry about “freedom” as they flood the state with gambling apps, but common sense conservatives finally said, “Enough is enough.” We need to protect our students, our families, and the very soul of college athletics.
Let’s face it. College campuses already have enough distractions: woke professors, anti-American protests, and so-called “safe spaces.” Adding non-stop sports betting to the mix turns our universities into playgrounds for addiction. All that matters is profit—and liberals just nod along, desperate for tax dollars to fund their endless social schemes.
The bill goes even further. It doesn’t just stop the betting floodgates—it puts real guardrails in place. There are strict limits on how much you can bet and how often, and you can forget about gambling on credit. “No debt to bet” means fewer families getting crushed by the consequences of impulsive or desperate wagers. Democrats rant about “predatory lending” but stay silent when Silicon Valley billionaires push junk habits on every household.
Maybe liberals are too busy fighting for men in women’s sports to notice the damage here. Or maybe they just don’t care. Either way, Republicans are doing what must be done—protecting Ohio’s future instead of selling it out to the highest bidder. When will the rest of the country wake up and put main street families ahead of corporate greed?
